About the Role

- Provide patient-centred, high-quality clinical care in a multidisciplinary setting
- Work with a unique patient population — active, healthy recruits and personnel
- Support both ward-based and outpatient care as needed

- Work structured hours: 0700–1600, Monday to Friday
About Kapooka Health Centre & Clinic
Located just 10 minutes outside Wagga Wagga at Blamey Barracks, Kapooka is the “Home of the Soldier”, supporting the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC).
The facility includes:
- A 50-bed low-dependency ward operating 24/7
- Services including primary care, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmacy and physiotherapy
- Support for new Army recruits during their Basic Training
- Health Centre staff may also rotate between Kapooka and Wagga based on clinical need
- Primarily weekday work, with occasional weekend or on-call shifts based on your area
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 12 months of recent clinical experience (in the last 5 years) in acute, primary, or military health
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centred care
- Current HLTAID009 (CPR) certification
- Ongoing CPD as per AHPRA standards
- A professional, adaptable, and team-first mindset
- Australian Citizenship is essential to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
- No military service required — your role stays on base
