First Nations Employment Programs

Weaving pathways to employment & careers

Through a culturally safe and inclusive workplace, we’re fostering an environment of belonging for our First Nations people.

We’re a place where you’re valued for the unique skills, strengths, and experiences you bring to Serco, and you’re supported with sustainable opportunities, mentorship, and education.

Spirit of community

First Nations colleagues can choose to join our First Nations colleague community network, Kanyini. Kanyini, from the Pitjantjatjara language, is the principle of connectedness through caring and responsibility that underpins Aboriginal life.

Members come together remotely to yarn on what matters most to them, to their experience of working at Serco, and are a valued group for consultation on matters of interest to Indigenous colleagues.

Care and connection throughout your journey

Our Care2Connect program means you can count on us to be there every step of the way.

We’ll support you pre-employment, provide ongoing mentoring once you're in a role, and even help with traineeships and apprenticeships that propel you towards your career goals.

Specialised online coaching

We want our Care2Connect candidates to feel well-prepped and confident going into the recruitment journey.

That's why we’ve created an online coaching resource designed to support you with everything from writing your cover letter to networking and accepting feedback.
