As an Injury Management Advisor supporting Acacia Prison and Risk States (WA, ACT, NT, TAS), you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes for injured colleagues. Reporting to the Risk State Injury Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing specialist injury management support, managing workers’ compensation cases, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will help create a positive impact on workplace health and safety across Serco’s contracts. This role is a hybrid position that offers balance between travel to site (Wooroloo), corporate office (Belmont) and working from home.
In this role, you’ll make a difference by:
- Managing workers' compensation and injury management cases in line with legislative and Serco requirements
- Developing and implementing return-to-work strategies for injured colleagues
- Collaborating with insurers, healthcare providers, and rehabilitation specialists to achieve optimal outcomes
- Providing specialist training, coaching, and consultation to site leadership and teams
- Maintaining accurate injury management records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supporting initiatives to improve workplace health, safety, and injury prevention

Your ideal skills & experience:
- Experience in workers’ compensation and injury management in WA (experience in other Risk States desirable, but not essential)
- Strong knowledge of WA Workers' Compensation legislation and best practice injury management strategies
- Experience in developing return-to-work plans and liaising with external healthcare providers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, OHS, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Nursing, or a related health science field (highly desirable, but not essential)
- Experience using Solv Injury or similar case management systems
- Ability to travel to metropolitan areas is a requirement within this role
- Valid WA Driver's License Class ‘C'
