About the Role  

As an Enrolled Nurse you will be responsible for providing outpatient assessment and health promotion services to patients, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will assess the level of care required for patients and set priorities accordingly, as well as initiating treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:  

  • Australian Citizenship for Baseline security clearance purposes
  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).  
  • 2 years full-time post registration nursing experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent) , in an acute care, primary healthcare, or military setting.  
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients.  

 

About Oakey Health Centre

Oakey Health Centre is located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC) 3km outside Oakey.  It is the training area for Australian Army Aviation and is home to the 126 Squadron (Cougar helicopters) of the Republic of Singapore Air Force.  With approximately 500 members, the health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical and mental health services.  It is also an emergency response to AAC. Health centre staff may be required to work across Cabarlah & Oakey. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements will determine shift lengths).
